Project AMG Chazuta Radio

A radio station project owned and operated by the local evangelical congregation. A station license was applied for almost two years ago, license granted last August 2011 - now must be on the air by August 7, 2012.

Recently Ray Rising (Ethnic Radio Project Director) and Waybe Borthwick (Project Engineer) traveled to Chazuta Peru to survey a family-owned plot of land now donated to be used for the station (the widow lady is greatly encouraged). It is very close to the Chazuta Church property.

The land has been cleared, surveyed, and the antenna has been laid out, Walls for the studio are up and located just meters from the transmitter site.
The Transmitter and some associated equipment is ready to be shipped from Waxhaw NC momentarily however more funding is needed to complete the installation. A party of engineers, radio technician and others are planning to travel to Chazuta in June to install the equipment including the antenna structure. Ethnic Radio is coordinating with the Church which has committed to the total operation of Chazuta Radio. Ethnic Radio will assist with all technical aspects including training.

Some Church members have already received training in audio editing by Dany Prado of Ruma Simi. Several used laptop computers have been refurbished and is included in the shipment of equipment. The Audio editing program Audacity is installed in the laptops ready for operation.

If this project of reaching many peoples in the far flung and remote jungles and tribes of Peru interests you, become involved by praying or helping fund this vital project. See ways you can contact us about AMG Chazuta Radio Project to evangelize the tribes and language groups in Peru!
